VTG GUNNE SAX CALICO & GAUZE DRESS

Description : This is a lovely, Romance Style Gunne Sax dress in a loosely woven, cream gauze, permanently pleated and running longitudinally with a dainty calico of violet flowers accenting the bodice and high waist (empire). There are gauze sashes on either side of the waist for adjustment.' The sleeves are unlined and billowing with a single button, calico cuff for whimsy. So much of it's beauty lies in its sumptuous skirting, simplicity and that 10 inch bottom ruffle living amongst ribbon and lace. Due to sheerness it is entirely lined in acetate excepting the sleeves.
